My Story
Finn McFarlane is an exciting young diver from Hitchin who began his journey on the boards at just seven years old. After developing strong foundations with Luton Dive Club, his commitment, discipline and natural ability saw him progress through the British junior pathway with impressive consistency.
Now 16, Finn competes at national level and has already secured standout results, including two bronze medals at the British Junior Elite Championships. Training with the Cambridge Dive Team, he continues to refine his technique and gain valuable competition experience as he works towards future international selection.
Alongside his diving commitments, Finn is studying for his A-levels. Every day after lessons, he travels to Cambridge to train with an elite coaching team, dedicating hours to both pool work and strength conditioning. He is also completing the Diving Diploma in Sporting Excellence through Loughborough College – balancing high-performance sport with academic demands through exceptional focus and determination.
Finn receives vital support from SportsAid, helping him compete in key national events and access the opportunities needed to continue his progression as one of the region’s most promising young divers.
