SportsAid Eastern enjoyed a fantastic afternoon in Ely as supporters, partners and guests came together to celebrate the region’s emerging sporting talent.
We were delighted to welcome Dan McLellan, a rising young athlete in Power Wheelchair Football, as this event’s SportsAid recipient. Dan continues to make impressive progress in his sport, and recognising his achievements was a highlight of the afternoon. His ambition, maturity and dedication were evident, and it was wonderful to see the room get behind him.
Guests also heard from Alex Waller, Northampton Saints legend, who shared an honest and uplifting insight into his career in professional rugby. From leadership in high-pressure moments to the importance of teamwork and resilience, Alex’s stories struck a chord with everyone in the room and offered a brilliant perspective for the next generation.
The Ely lunch brought together a fantastic audience, creating a warm atmosphere of support and encouragement for young athletes across the region.
