Peterborough SportsAid, established in 2004, focuses on giving awards to youngsters aged 12 to 18 in able-bodied sports and for all ages in disabled sports to help with costs such as travel, training, accommodation, competition fees and equipment. We have awarded grants to the value of £110k to over 250 young sports men and women in the Peterborough area.
12.00 noon with Beth Tweddle MBE
Peterborough SportsAid Lunch
Beth is a retired gymnast and was the first GB female to win a medal at Europeans/Worlds and Olympic Games – where she won bronze at London 2012 on the uneven bars.
Beth is a familiar face in the media having commentated on the sport at the Tokyo Games.
GB gymnastics is now in a phenomenally successful place and Beth was a major catalyst of the rise.
We’ve been honoured to host an impressive variety of guest speakers in recent years. See who else has generously given their time to make our lunches special occasions.
All the businesses and individuals who sponsor our charity have one thing in common: a desire to help talented young athletes who may otherwise miss out on training and competition to grasp every opportunity available to them and fulfil their potential.
We’re extremely grateful for their generous support and look forward to continuing our collaboration for many years to come. Why not join them?
